„Fear“ and „Blue Eyed“, which he edited for DENKmal-Film in 1996, were Uwe Klimmeck’s first documentaries – he remained faithful to the genre, even throughout his six years abroad in the United States.

Back in Germany he started working in fiction film. His latest editorial work “Home from Home” (directed by Edgar Reitz) won the German Film Award and Uwe Klimmeck is nominated for “best editing” by the German Film Critics Association.  Whenever our main editor Melania Singer was not available, Uwe jumped in and took over several parts of the editing process. “Film is a team effort – Melania and I have been friends for a long time, but we also complement each other very well. I hope the film demonstrates that.”
